10 Countries It’s Crazy Easy to Immigrate to

Whether you are bored with your own country or want to find a better life, moving countries always seem to be an attractive solution. However, especially in the latest years, countries have set so many obstacles it seems impossible to immigrate anywhere.
Luckily, not all countries are like these. A bunch of states has remained open to immigration regardless of the foreign situation. And while some of these have tightened their policies, it’s still quite easy to immigrate there. This article considers both, immigration obstacles and life quality and how easy it is to adjust once you’re there.

1. Paraguay

Paraguay is a lovely country in South America, surrounded by all the economics giants. Even though it hasn’t always done so well, Paraguay has had some serious recovery and has actually improved quite a lot in the last few years.
One of the biggest appeals of Paraguay: it’s immigration programs. Depending on your country, you might be asked to make a bank deposit of about 4,500 dollars. After that, you only need to live there for three years to apply for permanent residency or even citizenship.

2. Mexico

Mexico is a great country to immigrate to. Not only are the landscapes unbelievable and the people welcoming but it is also extremely easy. Yes, policies have tightened with the Venezuela situation and the increase in immigration. Regardless, Mexico offers the FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple) which can be given to you at the border and allows you to remain there for six months. You can renew for as long as you live there and it only costs 21 dollars.

3. Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the happiest countries according to the Happy Planet Index. Bet it is because it’s such a great place to migrate to. Costa Rica will offer a “rentist” visa for anyone who can guarantee has a job there (letter by your boss) or a 2,500 dollars income. It also offers an investing one for business, with a minimum amount of 200 thousand dollars.

4. Belize

Located in Central America, Belize is a low cost very friendly country to move to. It has paradise-like landscapes and quite colorful towns and cities. Moving there is pretty easy too. You can ask for permanent residency after only one year of living there. In the meantime, you can use a tourist visa that has to be renovated monthly, and after 50 weeks you have to pay a tax, make some bureaucracy, and done. This depends on the province you want to move into but most of them have similar procedures.

5. Belgium

Belgium, a nice country in Europe with freaking great chocolate. Wherever you’re moving from, Belgium is not likely to ask for much paperwork. Of most countries, the only requirement is to have a job, study there, or to make an investment in the country. Properly done, the process can take as little as two weeks. Belgium has great life quality and job opportunities, and you get European Union privileges.

6. Austria

The beautiful, neighboring country of Germany. Even if these countries share a lot of common history and traditions, immigration policies are quite different. For the Austrian government, the only requisite is the Red-White-Red card. This immigration model offers qualified third-country workers and their family members a single permit for working and settling permanently in Austria. You’re not required to have a job or make an investment of any kind.

7. Dominican Republic

This island in the Caribbean is famous for having beautiful beaches, colorful cities and welcoming people. So welcoming in fact, that all you need is to make a 170 thousand euros investment in any kind of infrastructure. You’ll get your nationality in no more than 2 years.

8. Canada

Canada, another neighbor country of the US that has so much nicer immigration policies. The thing with Canada is that it is crazy easy to immigrate to as long as you’re a capable person. The country looks for people that have certain qualitative or educational standards. If you do achieve these, the paperwork is a piece of cake. Now, if you don’t, you probably won’t be living in Canada any time soon. You’ll have to fill a form, if they consider you’re qualified, you can begin your process. If you have family, speak French, studied there, all these make it much easier. Once you’re approved for residency, you have to pay the 500 CAD visa and done, you’re living in Canada.

9. Australia

Australia has what is known as a triple system. You can apply for family reasons, humanitarian reasons, or job reasons (Skilled Stream). If you want to work in Australia you can do it with either a temporal visa, in which you need a sponsor. You can also apply for a permanent residency card. For this option, you will need an Australian enterprise or region to sponsor you. You can also apply for the Skilled Independent visa, which is given for specific skills. Many people apply for the residency visa and later on use it as a trampoline for obtaining permanent residency.

10. Uruguay

Last, but not least, Uruguay. Uruguay is located in South America, like, very south. It is rather peaceful, no rush, no worries, and rather high life quality. It is important to consider that salaries are low and the lifestyle is kind of expensive, though. However, this country doesn’t even ask for a return ticket when you enter the territory. And when applying for residency, neither do they ask for a minimum quota to be filled before you move there. To move to Uruguay, you only need to apply for a provisional ID, this allows you to look for a job for about a year.

Side Note: These countries are generally easy to immigrate to, but where you come from will have a strong influence on the requirements they’ll ask of you.
